HBO gets back into the organized-crime business with this sprawling series about Prohibition and politics in 1920s Atlantic City. Produced by Martin Scorsese and starring Steve Buscemi as a corrupt pol and bootlegger, Boardwalk is a visual stunner with big guns and big ideas. 9/19 (HBO)
